which is to get rid of amber by painting it silver to match the headlight housing.
i used metal/silver paint and it works good. and it cost about 3-4 bux.

light still shows up fine, maybe a fraction of light lost, but that doesnt bother me. or you can possible colormatch that to your car...

Since I'm an old married guy, the amber just made mine car look old. Any flow with the ladies that I may still have is shot down when they see the grey hair.
Don't do it. Just find a set of 03+ headlights. They show up on eBay all the time for $500 or less. You'll be really glad you did.
Sadly I haven't seen close for less than $600 in a long time. I keep looking even though i've got a set. But you can always sell your ambers for around $250-$300. so its only a $300 upgrade.
With that said, amberless makes the car look at least 5 years newer.
