Thumbs up Welcome

[QUOTE=HIFI]Well, I finally completed my purchase of a 1999 Boxster today!

Very nice color choice, I was considering that combo myself before I found a Arctic Silver/Gray interior. Gray is a nice choice as it shouldn't get as hot with the top down or at least in theory. Wheels are my favorite 18" option, mine has the straight spoke 17" '01 wheel which I can live with for the time being at least. Bought mine in Dec. and like you am looking forward to this weekend to drive it a bit again. Only drove it once with the top down but plan a lot of top down motoring this year. Keep us posted on your joys with the car. Be careful because the guys and their mods/hacks are tempting. You alread have lit headlights so you don't have far to go if you want to 'de-amber' and you already have the best looking wheels. Good luck.

blast the heat before you lower the top in below 65 temps.
Nice to see the Boxsters holding up some good value.

Hey Terry - same thing happend to a local guy about 20yrs old. He had the horns sooooo bad for a 3-Series... This one was in Chicago and the seller had his orders for the Foreign Service, or whatever, and was leaving that weekend.. yatta-yatta. He got clipped for about $3k.

I think he thought he was getting a 3yr old car for...like $12k. I'm cynical enough to think: he deserved it. Darwin's Waiting Room has always been pretty crowded.

I can understand your point of view, but being 20 he doesn't have the life experiences we do. Maybe he was brought up to trust people and that people are basically honest. He sure learned an expensive lesson. It probably took him a long time to earn that money (at least I hope it did).
