Can anyone recommend a good shop in Harrisburg (Mechanicsburg) other than Sun? I have not gone there but I have not heard good things. The guy I bought my car from said they destroyed one of his wheels changing a tire.

Porsche mechanics in Maryland

Hi,

Baltimore , Md here. Recently acquired 2001 Boxster, looking for a good reasonable Porsche mechanic in the area would prefer not going to Annapolis if I can help it. Anyone know of anything closer to the western suburbs of Baltimore?

Independent Mechanics in OC, CA?

It's time for a brake job on my '02 Boxster. Any recommendations on independent mechanics in Orange County (preferably Costa Mesa, Santa Ana, Tustin, Irvine, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo)? The local dealership wants $1700 (complete job on both axles) and I'm hoping I don't have to spend that much! Thanks in advance for your help.

This place has served me well over the past three years. I highly recommend them!

Find your local mechanic/porsche specialist

I'm in the North Sacramento, CA area (Lincoln). Does anybody have a recommendation for a wheel alignment shop that understands Boxsters (986)?

I want to use the car for Autocross, DE's and as a daily driver, so, the shop hopefully knows something about racing too.

The car is a stock 1997. But, I will be using Toyo R888 tires. 225 45 17 on 7.0" rims on the front and 255 40 17 on 8.5" rims on the back. (BSX class)

Thanks,
Mark

I too am in Houston or Spring I should say and I saw your post. Any luck finding a good mechanic...affordable? I own a 2000 boxster S. I'm also looking for contacts to occasionally bounce ideas or questions about the boxster. Thanks.

You can take it to civil court but with the expense & time involved the A.G.'s office is a better idea. Even if you do the other I'd go there. That way the screw up would be hurt even worse because in some states there are automatic fines, they have a file with the state & they are reported to the BBB. That's not too good for business and you help others who may have been screwed as well when they have to turn their records over to the state.
Hey, look...

It's M.C. Spammer!!

Can someone get rid of this person, and prevent them from ever gracing our website ever again?

Every weekend this guy shows up with a new alias.
Can't this end?

Can someone at least tell this idiot that boats have nothing to do with our forum?
Of course, this jerk probably doesn't actually live in the USA, nor speak english.

BC.

I am also looking for a good mechanic in Houston. I'll probably just go to the dealer if I can't get a good recommendation. I am sure I will pay more but it seems safer than going to an independent chosen from internet searches.

Good mechanic in Bay Area, CA?

Specifically, I'm looking for a good mechanic for my 986 in the peninsula, around Mountain View and Sunnyvale.

Thanks so much!
