Btw, John Y, I know it's too late now, but I live in NYC area also and drive through the city every day and 18"s are fine for me.


I'll let you a drive or ride if you want to see

Yes - when you look at the ratios, we essentially have gears 1,2,3,4 & 6 - basically the 6 speed without gear 5. That one didn't seem necessary to me for driving in this country and not seeing much track time.

Hmmm... non metallic paint, heated seats and a CD changer. I wanted to get more "base" than that, but I really wanted those heated seats...

Thanks - yeah, ultimately it came down to the somewhat better comfort that the 17s offer (especially on a non-PASM car) and my desire to reduce unsprung weight and rotational mass on a car without a whole hell of a lot of torque, like ours. It probably borders on the obsessive, but hey - that's me!

I probably could live with the 18- in. ride and still like the design better, I also think they look like more of a "right" size for the proportions of this car. But the 17s have grown on me, and I really kind of like the 'retro' high sidewall look.

Basalt Black Metallic, Tan Interior, 18 inch wheels, heated seats, windstop and Hi Fi.
