GT3 seats

GT3 seats on ebay, they are no good. Dont buy them or bid on them.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220076697843&fromMakeTrack=true

I totally think they are unsafe and cheap replicas so dont bid on them...
The buy it now on those same seats were around 1,200 a month ago, so if you HAVE to bid on them, I advise you to not go over that price, as they will have a buy it now later on probably.
You know, just helping you guys out
Oh ya, dont buy them.

Dang Jonathan!

If you do not want us to bid on them so you can get a good price just ask.

Just kidding, those and the others for $86.00 just do not seem right to me either.

Thanks for looking out for others

Nothing, expect they are just knockoffs. Real GT3 seats are serious money.

serious money for serious safety equipment. That's exactly what a seat is, not just somewhere to put your tail. It protects you in the event of side impact and keeps you from being ejected from the cockcpit in a frontal impact.

Your stock seat is crash tested, most of those replicas of real race seats are not crash tested at all. I figure the goverment is lax about imposing safety requirements because they figure most will be used on the track where there aren't 4 ton SUV's crashing into drivers. Sad to say but its safer on the track than your nearest highway.

I'm sure if you tore apart that replica GT3 seat and disassembled a factory GT3 seat you would see some big differences in the construction, materials used, reinforcements, etc. If Porsche puts their stamp of approval on a seat they know is going to be used at high speeds at a track I'm sure they are confident of its safety. If you look at the number of 911 GT3's that are totaled in a given year (high) its clear driver safety is something that is important to Porsche.
