New BMW 3-convert. - What say you?

The link is to the 07 BMW 335i Convertible review, with the most pictures that I've seen.

It looks great, and it's always nice to have a hardtop. Despite having more power and a boatload more torque it's slower than the 987 but seats four !

I can feel the itch starting, but think I'll wait for the M3 version, perhaps in 08.

i like the dual exhaust and tail lights(even though they resemble audi), and i like the crisp lines, but theres just somethign about the bmw interior(ive had a few) and its just butt ugly from the inside, they all are (BMW) for that matter, just my .02

Love the hard top. But still think that any 3 top down looks like a boat - this one especially.

MUCH uglier than the coupe -- both with the top up and down. After getting the Box, each time I see a convertible I'm more convinced that only roadsters should be allowed to take the top down.

It looks like a Sebring. Not as much as the 650i looks like a Sebring but it still looks like one to me. For my taste BMW's styling in the latest models is very bland. The 3 Series looks like a Honda from the rear to me. There are also way too many of them on the road. In spite of BMW's claims to the contrary their cars are not the ultmate driving machine nor are any of their models with the exception of the Z series sports cars. The 7 series through 5 series provide absolutely zero thrill or sensation of driving. The ride is so smooth with an absence of feedback that there's no sensation of anything. Driving them made me feel much older than my 50 years. The 3 series is just a spirited sedan. The M series are skateboards with too much power to be used on real roads. I looked long and hard at a 650i, M5 and M3 and never found what I was looking for until I drove a Porsche. What BMW offers is very popular with the masses due to very good marketing. When's the last time you saw a Porsche commercial on TV? Even then I'll bet it was for the Cayenne.

It gains 450 lbs over the coupe version.

As I like to say, the slowness (ie fatness) doesn't justify the convertibleness here.

Modding potential is amazing, though.

I like it, however I don't understand why BMW made it NARROWER than the pervious model. It's too long and not wide enough.

You read my mind.
I like the coupe and, as was said elsewhere in this thread, there does seem to be a lot of "mainstreaming" with the new designs. I bet it's good for sales and that, to the manufacurers, is what it's all about!
