Need help with Roof Rattles
I have a 07 Boxster S and after having it for one month started to Develop rattles in the roof. When the Top is down the care is rattle and squeak free but with the top is up and when going on bumps I hear clicking /rattling sound from the roof
Is this the norm of rconvertibles or does my roof need some adjustment?
I never had a convertible before and Hate all this Squeaking
Any Opinions

We used to have trouble with cracking/squeaking sounds. We got rid of them by opening the top partially and putting some plumber's grease along the areas that come together when the top is closed. Since then, no more cracking/squeaking sounds.

You should be able to take it to the dealer and have them fix it since your car is brand new.

I will take it to the dealer and see if it can be fixed. Generally do convertibles have these rattles?

Convertibles are plagued with top rattles for the most part, but since yours is so new there's few excuses for it. When it's 5 or 10 years old like mine, putting up with some rattles and sqeaks is to be expected. At least that's what I'm thinking anyway.

I've owned five convertibles in the last ten years and the Box is hands down the most rattle-free I've encountered (not including the SLK, obviously).
BMW and Saab rattled from day one. Neither 987 had a rattle in 30,000 combined miles no matter what I was driving over. I think rattles are most prevalent in cars not designed from the get-go as convertibles. The Boxster obviously doesn't fall in that category.
However, your windscreen should be rattling like a mofo when driving top down, otherwise it wouldn't be a 987 !

Plumber's grease is sourced from a Plumber's smile.
