Go a step further and use correct specification together with a new seal. Special tool 3217 required or similar. Tightening torque with new union nut and new sealing ring 70 Nm.

If it was loose I gess it was the culprit.

For my understanding, in this case (e.g. crack) would you not only replace part no. 5 or is the recommendation in this case to replace the whole unit?
