Removable grilles make little sense, imho, because you have to remove the bumper again for a proper radiator cleaning in any case, but only a fraction of debris gets into the radiators after installing the grilles, so no need to do it yearly.
I feel very uncomfortable with the Zunsport price.

Edit: The ones I have are aluminium, powder coated. That makes a difference in price of course. But much more easy to work with.

Guys, post some pics, would love to see some homemade grills as $300 or even $99 seems like total overkill.

This picture shows my 997 (meanwhile mounted ~4 years ) but I used the same mesh and fixing on the 986 because there was actually enough left of the grille. It is powder coated aluminium and therefore easy to work with and bendable. It was easier on the 997 than on the Boxster, because I had to bent it more. I used a bodywork adhesive on the edges to fix it. When the 986 is back, I'll be happy to take some pictures of it too, but it's really not rocket science.

I'm not going to get into the discussion about whether it makes sense to retrofit the grille that porsche forgot there because it's too stupid for me. There is not a single disadvantage retrofitting them.

Those look a lot better than the Zunsport ones. The ones mounted on the outside, although easier, look like an afterthought.

Absolutely. And as mentioned before, for a proper cleaning of the radiators you (imho!) need to remove the bumper, no way to clean both of the radiators in a proper way without doing it. So no real advantage on the outside.
