I don't think that will work.
AFAIK there is no signal input that the car is in reverse. Also, i couldn't find anything in the dev settings. But maybe i'm wrong. The documentation for the PCCM+ is kind of weak. Seems they do little updates and bug fixes permanently.

Yes, that is true, but if the car has a backup system from the factory, it can still be used.
