Realistically -- swap in a used engine. Probably $5k for the engine and $2-3K for the install. (just swagging)

Easy: Spend lots of $ or go the used engine route..............

Do you have the skills to rebuild an engine, or to remove and install one. I am currently installing a used 3.2 in my 2000 S. Where are you in Montreal? There is a place In St-Hubert that may have an engine.

Assuming that you find a good used engine, is not too difficult to replace it, as long as you take your time to disconnect everything, BTW having a buddy to help = priceless :-)

If you lower the engine and transmission together switch engines and raise them in place at the same time. much easier than removing the engine and leaving the gearbox in place. you can do this with an engine hoist (cherry picker..) that you can buy from Harbor Freight.

Good luck
