That is a stock shifter. It is also a stock shift knob and boot. I've had the exact same set up in 2 different Boxsters. You will need to loosen the Allen bolt to remove the knob and boot. The more basic knob and boots don't have the bolt and can be just pulled off (with a lot of force). The boot and knob will fit on any short shift that you would purchase.

That's really interesting. When I swapped out my shifter, I thought it was interesting that the post was blade/oval shaped and not a round shaft like every other shifter on the planet. I wonder why porsche went back and revised the part?
