smog testing issues
2000 Boxster S, approximately 34,000 miles and I’m having problems passing CA smog.
A few months ago I had a MIL showing the P1128 and P1130 trouble codes which cleared with a code reader.
Last week the testing center revealed P1128 and P1130 trouble codes are now classified as passive (no MIL light) and that the catalyst monitoring system was not complete.
I cleaned the MAF, drove more than 200 freeway miles one morning and took it to the testing center. Now it’s throwing evaporative system and secondary air systems not complete errors’ the P codes are gone as is the catalyst monitoring issue.
Any insight helping to address these issues is appreciated.
Looking at the Drive Cycle restoration sequence offers little hope since I live in an urban area with stop signs and lights at every corner.

The 2000-2001 cars often took well over 200 miles to reset everything to a ready state for emissions, assuming what ever caused them in the first place were correctly repaired.

Thanks for the insight!
When the weather cooperates I'll put some more miles on it and report back when it clears.

Well actually it was raining at the time I was working on the issues...outdoors in my driveway. No rain now though and it's supposed to be 71 this afternoon.
I've lived in Toronto, Denver, Syracuse and DC so I understand what changes real weather can bring...

I grew up in DC and lived in Dallas for year.
Yea, the weather just sucks in San Diego
Easiest job in the world is being a weather forecaster in San Diego...
You could be locked in a windowless closet and forecast 72 deg and sunny and be correct 85% of the time

+1
My car failed at the smog test too first when I had only about 50 miles in it after a complete rebuilt and 13 years sitting. I drove 300 miles and then it passed. But, if your problem with the SAI or EVAP system persists it won`t pass.

I just managed to clear the two "not complete" issues.
The SAI problem was fixed by starting the car cold with the headlights and AC on and running
it to 2,800 rpm for 90 seconds.
I just managed to put 350 miles on the car and the EVAP problem "evaporated".
Thanks for all the help!
