Where to set up rebound for KW v3 for '99 Boxster?

I have KW v3 installed on my '99 2.7 Boxster, but I cannot find where to adjust the rebound.

Bump settings are controled via rotating switch at the bottom of the shock so no problem there.

Looking at the setup manual, it says that rebound adjustment is located at the 'end of the piston rod (top of the strut)', but I cannot find it.

Here is the page from KW v3 manual.

Can anyone help please?

You're going to have to get to coilover from the top of the car.

Pages 19 and 20 here should give you an idea.

Thanks, I have found them.

Front is easy accessible, removing the plastic caps in the front trunk and rebound can be easily adjusted.

Rear is problematic, you have to move up the roof up so the 'wing panel' moves up and then you can see the top of the rear strut - BUT, it has minimum clearance to the metal panel above it so it is impossible to put adjuster or any similiar key between.

Only solution is to pierce a small hole above the top of the strut and adjust from there.

I will post a picture when I do it.

Today I have tried the car with very stiff front rebound (it goes from 0 as hardest) to 22 as softest, I tried 4) and the difference to previous softer settings is huge - before, car was floating at high speeds on country road (130-160 km/h), now it is so planted and calm, much more control, especialy during the direction change...but it reacts harsher over the bumps. I'm glad the difference can be felt

Bump (compression) settings don't affect the car behaviour so dramaticaly, but it still does to some extent.

You could probably cut an Allen Wrench shorter or make some other tool to get at the rear.
Maybe loosen the 3 top mount bolts with the suspension in droop to gain a cm?

If you use too much 'rebound' you may loose traction, you may want to start with the KW suggested settings and then you can adjust a click at a time to your like :-)
