My 1998 Boxster's CEL for that system has now come on TWICE in 2 years (coincidentally both times in the late Fall on the way to storage) and both times I've just cleared it.
Since I only drive the car on sunny summer days and only put about 4,000 miles a year on my 1998 Boxster, I'm not too concerned at this point. because the car drives great....... AND now that it's 25+years old, Illinois no longer requires any sort of 2 year testing....they consider it an "antique".....LOL
