I'm getting ready to swap the dash on my 2000 Boxster based on Woody telling me the above and my Indy mechanic also saying that it's not difficult, just time consuming.

I found a couple of YouTube videos that look to be of great help in finding the hidden screws. I've had all the "ancillary" pieces off before; vents, center stack, instrument pod, etc. Watching the videos, it doesn't look like the demon that folks make it out to be.

One thing you may want to do is fix the "blowing foam" issues while you have the dash out of the car - I know I'm going to.
