Insurance is done and deposited check. Car is almost together and noticed the strut is bent. Trying to find another one tomorrow and hopefully can get back on the road.

Question, do the base and S have the same strut or are they different. My strut part number is 986 333 051 20.

I have a used diagonal brace, and I also got a subframe, hub carrier, all the control arms and new axle.
Went to attach the nub carrier this evening and noticed the strut is bent. Need to find one of those now.

In addition, I would replace all the hardware that mounts it to the other components. I recently bring one of the 4 bolts before it even fit to factory torque spec, so if be amazed if you took a hot like that and didn't start some if them off.

The upright is the part that the hub carrier and tie links are mounted to. They are notoriously fragile in these otherwise stout suspensions and will often only come to attention (as Woody rightly pointed out) when the car won't get into spec alignment.

You should just get 2 new ones for the rear. Pelican has them 20% off right now. Call them and place an order, if you are willing to pay the shipping you could get them overnight. Koni Red is going to be your cheapest option.

When replacing the rears (along with all the other work you are doing) you have to have an alignment done. You dont want to replace it with a used one and then a week later replace it again. Some things just aren't worth used.

I hear ya, I was just trying to rush. I did end up buying a used one with similar miles and should be here tomorrow or Monday. I think in a month or so I’m just going to replace everything and do all four corners with new struts and bump stops. I only paid $50 for the used one.
So I’ll have to do it again, but oh well. I definitely have to get the alignment done.
