Firefox 2.0 has smell check. Even proposes alternatives or lets you add to dictionary.

No spell check is available with standard vBulletin.

An add-on modification is available, but the total number of installs (only
77) in the entire vBulletin user universe seems to indicate that is not a
high priority for most sites.
