Hi guys, I've got a 97 boxster and I've recently been having problems with condensation on both the back plastic window and the windscreen.
I had to buy a squeegy thing because of it. Have any of you got any idea of what it could be???

Its starting to annoy me, it will even happen overnight, so its not just a case of the car being hot. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Cheers - Andrew

Hi,

I suspect the same problem is contributing to both windows fogging up, namely the body's water drains. There are several several drains in the bodywork and the doors which are designed to shed any water which seeps into body panel gaps, etc. These clog over time with dirt, dust, leaf debris, etc.

If any of them are clogged, they allow water to accumulate, which will then evaporate and condense again on a cool surface such as the Glass. Send me a PM and I'll send you a Word document which shows the drains locations and the procedure for cleaning them. Hope this helps...

Hi,

On it's way. Pay particular attention to the front center drain as this is where the AC condensate is drained. When these clog, water can soak the carpet or live under the dash. Hope it helps...
