Any reason that wouldn't fit in my '03 boxster S?

Why limit yourself when you can have a 3.8. I believe both could be made to work easily in a 2003+ boxster

Well the part of a swap that scares me the most is the electronics. That's where I'm weakest. It occurs to me that an '03 3.6L might "talk" to my DME better than an much later 3.8L. ?? waddya know?

(by the way, I sent you a PM about the previous topic)

I'm by no means an electrical wizard, but swapping within generations is very simple. Just take the wiring harness off the boxster motor and put it on the 996 motor. The biggest hassle would be getting DME's programmed for the motor you're using. Your dealer sucks but I know lots of guys in Colorado that could program it.

(I keep my pm box full so people can't ask me for parts)
