Are there any good fuel efficiency mods that anyone is aware of?

Obviously the Boxster and even more, the Boxster S, are not too great at fuel Efficiency, although not all that worse than the 330i I currently drive.

Is there anything that can be done other than weight reduction to improve my street mpg?

My limited knowledge brings me to believe that higher performance = better fuel efficiency, but I could be wrong. Would something that is proven to give hp gains like an Underdrive Pulley help with fuel efficiency?

I can start a different thread if need be.

But what are your thoughts?
IMO Performance doesn't necessarily mean better fuel efficiency. The biggest thing that effects fuel economy is driving habits. If you want fuel economy, imagine there's a raw egg between your foot and the gas pedal. Press down gently as not to break it. Using your brakes is wasting fuel. Look far enough ahead so you can coast to your stops and use the brakes as little as possible. Shift points make a difference too.

Now, if you want to race, that's a different story altogether.

Garage
Thread high jacking . . .

Here is the view from my dining room this morning. My drive way is between the 2 poles just to the right. It has warmed up to a balmy -25 C (-13 F) with the windchill from a flash freezing -40 C (also -40 F) from a day or two ago. Obviously NOT Boxster weather. Time to fire up the snow blower (which i also maintain myself LOL)
