Another Spacer Question

Hi ...I recently installed ECS 20mm spacers to the rear wheels of my 2001 Boxster base.
The spacers are perfect on all counts.
I have oem 17 inch wheels with 205/50/17 tires. I now wish to install spacers on the front wheels...i tried the 20mm spacer but it rubbed on the wheel well on maximum turning position.
Could someone please advise the size of the spacers i should go with in front.

What difference does a 225 and 205 make wrt the spacer size...newbie here...thanks

My 225 tire is 20mm wider than your 205. So you may have up to 10mm more room than I do, before it rubs, depending on where it runs and under what conditions.

I run 20 rear, 15 front. Still waiting for someone to trade me my 15mm ECS with bolts for a pair of 23s.

You could have your fenders rolled. No? That should give you room. Or, just run with the 15's. It works.

What size wheel spacers do I want to run if I have 275/40 ZR17 98W on the rear and 245/40 ZR17 91W on the front? And what about lug nuts? Thanks.

Rob, please be aware that you Will need longer lug nuts if you use wheel spacers and I would not go too wild as the spacers definitely tax your hub bearings and even if these are easy to replace them, the job is Not a fun one..

I run 15 mm spacers all the way around on my ‘04 S with no rubbing issues.

I don't remember off the top of my head, but the owners manual mentions 19mm (I think) spacers on the rear wheels as a factory option, and I have seen these Porsche spacers for sale. This led me to think that while that spacers do change suspension geometry (and hence wear), they were factored into the design at least somewhat when the cars were put together. I've got 15 up front and 25s on rear and they're been there for 4 years / 20k miles without issue.

Thanks for mentioning that. I noticed that a website was selling Porsche Branded Spacers for Boxsters, but they were sold out and back ordered. So the engineers must have considered these ti be deemed ok.
