Opinions on those 718 style LED tailights
They have been out for about 6 months now. What's the consensus from owners? I've put off purchasing because of the price but I sure like the look. Pros? Cons?
Thanks

I like mine. Installation was a snap and no problems.
Nothing but good feedback from other Boxster and non-Boxster owners. The non-Boxster owners (in truth they are all 911 owners) aren't shy about voicing their negative opinions about the Boxster so anything positive from that group is a good sign. See group messaging example below (we were discussing hiking) - in truth, it was actually a pretty funny comment.
One person said that he would now consider buying a 986 knowing that the tail lights could be upgraded.
Many 986 owners still feel that they are too expensive.

Im one of those that think they are too high priced too. I was planning on waiting until there was some competition and the prices slipped some. Tired of waiting but hate to order them then read about major flaws showing up. I know several members here have bought them but searching didn't turn up anything too bad.
Thanks for the help.

I think the look great, but they don't command the price they are asking for them. Don't buy them, let them sit on a **************** load of them for asking such a high price for them. The seller is insulting Boxster owners with the price.

And they insert 16 asterisks cause, ya know, they don't want anyone to figure out what is the word behind them. lol.

I've had them since ~Feb 2019, but I drive only during the Summer/Fall in Colorado. Personally, I like the look and to me it takes years of the year of my 2001; looks much newer and modern with existing 2001 body lines. The rear lights (signal, break, and backup lights are much sharper.

If you want an honest and complete answer to this, you need to wait at least 6 more months, if not a year.

indeed, we'll need to see, how they survive the hot sommer as well as freezing winter days. They are a bit pricey, but don't expect those to drop below 500$, that is not going to happen.
One thing i noticed: the fog light is not very bright...i'd rather turn on the right/left fog lamp permanenty, to increase/lenghten the light band even more. Just cosmetics…
They are cool, there is no doubt. Worth the money? That is in the eye of the beholder.
JB...you want them, go get them.
Waiting is not for me anymore, cuz...you'll never now when your time is up. CARPE DIEM
P.S.: HP increase? Who cares...they gonna make you and your car look at least 20 years younger!!

Well, that sucks. I wonder if the trade wars have something to do with it. They're probably made in China.
I hope you get them soon.
