Seatbelt receiver

My 98 is throwing the airbag light because the micro switch in the receiver is faulty. Not unexpectedly Porsche prices that part painfully high. Does anyone know if a possibly more reasonably priced VW or Audi receiver would work? I believe the mechanism is the same but I don’t know about the harness connection.

I just replaced my receiver with a used one from qualityporscheparts on ebay. Does require complete removal of the seat to install a new receiver.
