Sacrilege?

I haven't been driving my 1999 Boxster and I not sure when I will again. That being said I've been looking at side by side off road recreational vehicles and sand rails - although I have no interest in the sand - I would likely put all terrain tires on it and hit the mountain trails - and then it occurred to me. Those damn things cost a hell of a lot these days and I would likely sell my Boxster before getting something else so why not buy a sand rail (buggy) frame and drop the Boxster engine & transaxle in it? Then part out everything else to subsidize the build.

Has anyone here done such a thing or know anyone who did?

Thanks,

If you have to ask the question, then the answer is yes.

I would like to suggest, that you pick up an already built VW motor and or build up an 1835. Hot rod parts are plentiful and reasonably priced. Pass the Boxster on to somebody who will cherish it for what it is.
