My specific knowledge of 07 is nonexistant. On my 01, when I replaced the motor, I had to replace the oil filler pipe and the dipstick pipe because they were brittle enough to break. There was a vac. line between the throttle body and the aos. It cracked/broke, too.

Theres a possibility that your motor may spew oil, or not run too well because of vacuum leak. I'd watch the oil pressure and the engine temp closely, but if it were my $25000 car I'd probably just have it towed to your buddies shop and not chance it.
