Yes Ive been following that thread for a while. I'd buy a set today if he had them available for the 986. As soon as he get them ready I'm in. This is just a temporary fix.
Not that it compares to those but I like to keep busy. 😀

The 986 bezel prototypes have the same old problem, too bulky in certain spots. I think the only way is a symbiosis of a bezel trim and paint/wrap. That would be my way...it would get rid of too much contrast of PORSCHE's bright fake internal trim + DLR in clear corner (if anybody came up with a proper solution for that)

If you want to get rid of the 986 headlight look, I think that you have to delete the whole thing except for the circle. Put a turn light in the bumper. I expect that there are DOT or state limitations on where the turn signal has to be located though.
Maybe get some motorcycle turn signal bars and mount them on the fenders?

As I live in the same state as the OP (and as I had "heard" of some newly passed restrictions on vehicle lighting and turn signals) I thought I might chime in. For anyone interested, it's Indiana motor vehicle law title 9,section 19 (which I also assume conforms to federal law). Direct link: https://iga.in.gov/legislative/laws/2017/ic/titles/009#9-19
From what I've gleamed (although the state website is not real user friendly, so I also looked at some legal search engines) is that the turn signal must be located at a height greater than 24" but less than 60" and when illuminated must show an amber color (although strangely enough, the statue from the Indiana site lists a range of colors from white to amber?) and reflectors must produce an amber color when illuminated from an outside source. I should state that in the alternative (as the statute is rather confusing) it's whatever the arresting officer says it is when he gives you a ticket.
Anyway...pointless information.

Painted just laying there. Not dry enough to add black molding or stick together 😀

I say this with the deepest respect (as I know how you love playing with various styles), but this just looks like a painted headlight...with the added drawback of loosing a foglight. I can understand the look your going for, but this approach is a little too obvious for my tastes.
As always, to each their own...and if YOU like it, that's all that's really important...I do salute your passion for creativity though.

The slanted line on the turn signal looks all wrong. Cover the corner trim and the turn signal if you're going to do this or it just looks terrible (may still).
For a turn signal, switch out the parking light for a switchback LED.

I like the mixed concept so far.
For the turnsignals I would suggest using amber foil and outline variations. Here is a quick idea.Amber + red = perfect combo in my opinion.
I would play a little to match the design of the front intakes somehow. I am pretty sure, PORSCHE will call me soon
