I just pulled mine today. Once you have the grille removed (one screw for that) there are no others. If you can put two hands on the end of the snorkel you are ready. As others have mentioned you have to wiggle left and right and pull very hard. The snorkel is very well made and durable and I doubt you will break it.

Way way back when I went to a larger throttle body I ended up re snorking to improve response......de snork was great with a 68mm but not so much for 74mm

Jaykay, what do mean by response was not so good with the larger throttle body? How did it manifest itself so that you could tell a difference?

Apologies,

Low rpm range 3000 to 4000: throttle response quantified by engine acceleration vs time; real road loads using 3rd fourth and fifth gear.

Snorkel conguration was changed and the effect measured with a stopwatch. I also found that the Porsche stock tune works better with intake changes (ie larger TB) as opposed to the aftermarket one I had. It worked great with a 68mm TB but not so good with a 74mm. One could also just feel the change in thrust as well.

I actually made my own snorkel to work with the 68mm TB way back so that I could just pull away from my 964 run group nemesis at 5000/fifth gear up the back straight at Mosport. I like to think that it made a bit of a difference anyway (rather than fuel load or my driving). Miss that stuff...
