Desnorkeling: Sanity check

Hi all,

I finally decided to desnorkel my MY2000 Boxster S, but TBH the entire cup + tube (henceforth known simply as "the snorkel") seems to sit very firmly in place.

Given that the plastic of the snorkel and airbox is soon 20 years old I didn't want to apply more force than I felt appropriate but the snorkel was firmly in place, and to be honest, there isn't much wiggle-room to speak of in there so limited options forleverage.

Is there a trick to taking the snorkel out with less force?
