clutch slave access

Finished bleeding the brakes and now doing the clutch. Wow, is that thing hard to get to. What's easier, reaching up from underneath the car (on stands, not a lift) or reaching in through the hole behind the left rear wheel. I'd like to make this as painless as possible -- if that's at all possible.

The times I've done it, it was on stands and I did it from under the car.

I reached it from underneath with a small size wrench

On stands and mostly by feel. A power bleeder makes it a lot easier than having someone else pressing the clutch pedal.

As mentioned, on stands, shorty wrench operated by your left hand from the left side of the transmission.
Position yourself so you’re lying under the car with your legs sticking out the right side of the vehicle.

Maybe its cause I have an aftermarket exhaust, but I had no issues reaching this from underneath.
