Very few, in 2001 only 0.5% of all cars produced were painted Rainforest Green Metallic.

Where can you find this data? I reached out to Porsche of NA, and they said that these records were not kept/recorded.

An old copy of Excellence magazine that listed production by colors.

Yours in a 2001? I just bought this in November I wasn't sure on the color when I bought it but now I really like it. I had a 2001 Seal Gray 3 years ago. Just would be curious to know how many are out there.

Mine is a 2001, purchased new, and I have only encountered one other one on the road. And the only other RFG car that has come into the shop was a 996. There aren't many about..........

2001 S. This is on Tail of the Dragon.
Purchased it in 2012 in Chico, CA.

I've seen RFG Boxters in Autotrader with the tan seats, which would be even better for this Packers fan, but mine are gray.

I can't count the number of folks that ask me if my car is the original color, including other Porsche owners. I've never seen another one in the flesh. I had a gentlemen in a newer Boxster track me down on the road (I could see him in my rear view weaving in and out of traffic), and stop next to me at a light. He said he had seen the color in pictures, but never in person, and just had to see it live.
I'd love to get a number, but I don't know how to go about it. I've heard "42 worldwide," but there's nothing to substantiate it.

				Rainforest Green 2000 Boxster

I live outside of Chicago and have a 2000 S that's rainforest green. I have also never seen another one. I get more comments on the color rather then the car.

honestly: if y'all know of a RFG, '03 or newer, S model, with low miles (under 75k), and a good maintenance history, I'm a buyer.
Or a pearl - colored unicorn.... whichever I find first.

There was an 00S in RFG that belonged to a club member but he sold it to someone in Indiana, just south of Gary. They brought it back to run in our DE 2 wks ago.
