Top Issue

Today my top will go down and not go up. It will go down a bit when I try to raise it nothing.....go down more ......raise it nothing. Went all the way down (electrically) but nothing to go up. Switch? Are the up/down fuses different? Other thoughts....I raised it manually. Thanks for any help.

If everything else with the top seems to work normally except for going up, I'd check the switch and the relay, expecting the relay to be the problem.

Switch - Swap it with another, or test with a multimeter.

Relay - Pull it out and smack it a few times with the handle of a #2 Phillips screw driver, then put it back in. If that doesn't fix it (at least temporarily), someone here can figure out what points to jump to verify operation, or send you a cheap used relay - I'm sure I have one or two here somewhere.

Thanks I will check it..I was rum rummaging around the fuse panel.

Thanks to 78F350..I removed the relay scuffed the contacts put it back in and it works.....then I spent an hour reattaching the 4 rods. Works like factory now.
