Very nice top! If you don't mind me asking, how much was it to get the '03 top? (less than having the top re-done with glass?)

thanks!

Tell me about these spacers. I find my H&R's are a bit too low.

i was fortunate at the 2016 hershey porsche flee market, it was near the end of the day, and the vendor did not want to take it home, i was able to negotiate the price to $200, far less than I have seen on the for sale forms. as I have a 99, I also needed to update the top transmissions, and relay. 2000-2004 have the newer style top transmissions, so all you need to find is a top. 6 bolts and your done, eash to change.

man you guys and your prices! I paid $1500 AUD for mine (about $800 US?)... I think even at that price though it comes out 'cheaper' than installing a new top in the long run as you can do it yourself for sure and in much less time than it takes to install a new one.

You must be referring to the coin holder

You should not keep coins in the ash tray. When the ash tray is closed the coins can bounce out of the tray and get under the center console, a few people have had coins get into the shifter and cause problems.

Just installed some LED H7 headlight bulbs. Much brighter and whiter than the the halogens they replaced. I do drive quite a bit at night and we have a lot of deer over here.

I'd have to say the most satisfying mod so far was the intake system mod. It was a very time consuming and not an easy mod that paid me back with a very nice gain in performance. I could tell right of the bat this was a great mod. I've installed NHP 200 Cells Exhaust Headers, secondary cat delete pipes and a Borla muffler. While it sounds great, but I don't feel the gain I got from the intake system upgrade mod.

After winter is over I will be putting on my Koni FSD shock and new 1" lower springs and rebuilding the suspension with new wheels and tires. So that one may take the top spot.

Man, where did 2018 go? I was supposed to have my suspension done last year and I'm getting to it this year....I think lol. Seriously though, 2018 was like a year that didn't exist for me????

Installing switches to operate the front and engine bay fans manually. Front fans lower water temps real fast. Gives me peace of mind on those hot summer days. Headers plus catback would be a close second for that raw exhaust note.

Can you recommend which LED H7's you went with? I ordered some for the driving lights, from 'the bay' and they eventually started to flash and shake ..... As I don't have Litronics, I'll have to try a poorer attempt :D

I did the ash tray delete right away when I bought the car. I must have found $5 in change stuck inside the center console.

I love this mod....Cannot figure out why it costs ~$100, nor can I find it in graphite grey...

Unfortunately, I don't think the ashtray delete is offered in graphite grey, they have two kinds of black, granite grey and metal grey. I have do a custom color match since my center console is Arctic Silver. You can still find the ashtray delete for around $50, I paid $35 + $10 for the rubber mat less than a year ago, but since I am painting it I bought the cheapest version. Searching by part number always seems to yield the best prices for me, so you might have better luck that way.

Is just the center console Arctic Silver or does it go up into the radio/climate control area also?

rflores2323 04-08-2019 06:25 PM

Not a "real" mod but I like these mats as my other oem mats were moving around too much. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...31e6acb2dc.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...41adeb1970.jpg

My build sheet is pretty interesting, every part of the dash that could be ordered in leather is leather, including the area around the radio and AC, but the lower center console and roll bar are arctic silver, I have also have some arctic silver accents on the door handles.
