Looking for a bra
Hi Guys,
Desperately trying to locate a bra for my 06 Boxster (987). Heading out for a long road trip in a couple of weeks. Colgan says they are backordered for 4 weeks.
Anyone have any ideas on how I can get my hands on a bra in next two weeks? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I would try the local bar around 8PM later tonight....worst case scenario, you could get a "bro". I think they sell them at Sears.

Front or rear clasping? I think the strapless "bro" works well for evenings out...

Why dont you go for the 3M Clear Bra.. I cant see spending money on a bra for a trip..Spend the money on the Permanent Clear Bra... My buddy has one on his 911 and you cant even tell it is on there.
That you can probably have your local dealer do right away.
Just a thought.

bra
Victoria's Secret has some pretty nice ones...probably one to coordinate w/ the paint color on your car...
Seriously - I bought my OEM from the dealership. The Porsche OEM bra is about a buck-fifty and fits nicely. Even if your local dealer doesn't have one, I'm sure you could find one and have it shipped in before you leave.

No OEM bra for 05-06 Boxster yet
Porsche doesn't have an OEM bra for 987s yet (go figure!). I know because the dealer ordered two different ones for me before telling me that Porsche doesn't sell them yet (go figure again!).
That's why I am in this bind now. Still looking for some good advice on where to get one ASAP.
May have to do the clear bra as a last option, despite all the negative things I've heard.
thanks

Hi, as a last resort you might want to try this:
www.griotsgarage.com/catalog.jsp?L1=L1_2500&L2=L2_2520&SKU=20264
A SPRAY-ON PROTECTION BRA THAT WON'T FLY OFF, AND IS EASY TO REMOVE!
When I first tested this product, I was skeptical. By now you know that I'm VERY finicky about my paint. So spraying a protective coating on the front of a Porsche would be silly, right? And when I was done with my road trip, having it peel up in one big sheet would be too easy to remove, right? Hard to believe, but that's exactly what it did with minimal fuss. I even applied the Protective Bra over the hood ornament! Finally an easy way to protect any surface from rock chips, abrasion, sand pitting, bug residue, etc. Other uses would include: inside an aluminum boat for a non-slip surface, aluminum stair treads, tool boxes, instant drawer liner, truck bed liners, car door thresholds (where your shoes scuff the paint), and on the back of hatches and trunks so you don't scratch the bumper or trunk lip. Water, oil, solvent and impact resistant.
The Paint Masking Film is necessary for this project; buy it and you'll have a number of other uses as well. Paint detailing and machine polishing, house painting, covering furniture from dust, even use it as a temporary indoor car cover! The roll folds out to 22" wide and 76' long! Clings to the surface electrostatically and won't slide off. Easy load dispenser includes a razor blade cutter to trim to the desired length. (Film and Dispenser sold separately.) One can covers approximately 12 sq. ft.

Astorey, here are the part numbers you needed a couple months ago. You should be able to get these parts now, in late October.
Cayman PNA 503 987 03
CaymanS PNA 503 987 04
Boxster PNA 503 987 01
BoxsterS PNA 503 987 02
They will become available very soon. By the end of October, these should be available.

I found this one, but I strongly discourage trying to put your hands on it in the next two weeks.
