"That's funny... if you'll notice MN, there's a join date in the upper right of each post from each member indicating their join date. I, and each of the others in this thread that are taking "jabs" at Bruce have been members as long, and in some cases much longer than you. We just don't make hundreds of posts a week. Life, and all... " JackG
My life is getting in the way of being the number one poster too. Curse that damn job, girlfriend, friends, sunny days, and my family.
Seriously though, the m96 engine has design issues. Besides the minor RMS leak. In a severe case, the crankshaft can move and the only remedy is a new engine. Even my service advisor has admitted there is a problem.
More Koolaid?

Hi,
If you did actually read my post, which I hope is within the scope of your skillset, you'd see that I stated: "If the number of posts is any indication (which it may not be)...", but I guess that acknowledging this would have prevented you from thrusting your barbs once again. I'm starting to think that you're not a very nice man...
Happy Motoring!... Jim'99

Lets try to re-group here!
No sense in making this more than it is. If some folks are not wigged out by certain design issues and reliability issues so be it.
Others are.
Lets allow this to be for both sides.

I presume no one is going to post as to how Ferrari's are cheap and dependable?

Why should we? This is a Boxster board... it's OK to bash Ferrari! :chicken:
Hmmm... I wonder if that Ferrari engine is still available and if it would fit, with minor mods, in my Boxster. Once installed, it shouldn't be too hard to perform its scheduled maintenance in the Box with no access.
Do you think a shrieking Ferrari exhaust note coming from a Box would get any attention at a DE event?

Came up with a couple more...
XX) It is a common practice for Porsches to be put to the test by exposing them to driving events. In order to reduce weight we have elected to not put the proper corrosion resistant coating on your lug bolts. It's unfortunate that it will make your $XX,XXX car look like dog dooky, but with a little elbow grease and $10 worth of paint from you local hardware store you can get them looking like new every year or so.
XX+1) Seeing that you are a Porsche owner now, it must indicate your love for sports cars. We all know how much sports car enthusiasts love to take care of their cars and we at Porsche feel the same. Like every other enthusiast, we prefer to hand wash our vehicles to maintain the luster of the finish. We prefer this so much that we require it. Never mind the wonderful, dedicated drivers that drive in the snow and get salt on the undercarriage. We are not sure how they can clean their undercarriage by hand, but if you do take it to an automatic car wash you run the risk of catastrophic engine failure by sucking water through the intake. And of course this will not be covered by the warranty because we told you not to...
