Thanks for the photo- now i know what IMS bearing looks like w/o the seal with oil inside. I plan on keep driving till need a clutch or rear mail seal then i will probably replace the IMS bearing. Rear seal has a very minor leak. I got 03 boxster 73K miles 5 spd. Just did oil change and air cleaner filter replacement last weekend. I will cut the old oil filter and check for bearing shavings. no service history just got the car w/70k miles 4-5 months ago.
