Newbie soon to be Boxster owner.Questions...

Im very excited after my decission to buy a Boxter.
Will be a 2003 , and be my first Porsche ever.
For me is a big investment , Im in Costa Rica and will be paying about $42,000 for a 2003 with 20,000 miles.

How reliable is this car?

Anything special to look for?

All advice is welcomed and appreciated.

There's mixed reviews about reliability. I believe it depends on its condition and more importantly, the way the previous owner(s) took care of it.

Thanks.
Im reading all posts now.

So now a days there seems to be the cars are nost as reliable?
I have an ML 320 Mercedes 1998, and was lucky I didnt go to the forums before I bought it, because I wouldnt have bought it, lots of complains and everyone say its a terrible unreliable car.
I have had mine for 24,000 (its 66,000 miles now)and its great.

Then I was ready to buy a Mercedes C32 AMG, went to the forums and read so many complains and people told me to check soo many things that it put me off and I didnt bought it.
Now Im looking into a Boxter, seems to be the rule that if its low milage should be good, honestly I see a lot less people complaining here than at the Mercedes forums, so it shouldnt be as bad.
