Passenger Buckle tripping Airbag Light?

Hey guys,

So, have cleared this code now a few times, but anytime someone sits in the passenger seat and uses the passenger buckle, it trips the light. Any fixes? I read somewhere about using DeoxIT D5 and spraying the receptacles with that? Anyone tried that or know of any sensible, reasonable solutions?

Thanks,

Mike

Sounds like a short or break in the seat belt receptacle wiring and the car thinks the seat belt receptacle is not present, if nothing else works, you could buy a replacement seatbelt receptacle from Woody and replace yours, you might even be able to do it without fully removing the seat if you tipped it out the passenger door. If you took it to a shop to install for you should work out to 1 hour or less.
