Radiador fluid change

So, the manual says it's in for life.. yea - I know probably not the best idea. What I would like to know is "for the record" who here has the oldest year, and highest miles on the factory fluid which has never been replaced, and it's still running strong. I have a 99, with 40k (yea, I don't drive it much).

I went 90K with mine before changing as I don't buy the lifetime thing. Not that you need my advice but you might consider a coolant change at some point here just based on age.

Its probably long term damage from corrosion. The PO mixed coolants so I had it replaced with the Porsche stuff. Lets just say that I better own the car a long long time to recoup that investment.

There is no such thing as lifetime fluid. I would change it every 50-60k miles along with preventatively replacing the water pump.

If it's a 986...

....you need to R&R that water pump every four years. Period. Just do it. Refill with new coolant each time.
