Didn't get mine through Porsche. Got it when I got my spin-on oil filter adapter from LN Engineering. See... http://986forum.com/forums/boxster-parts-sale-wanted/59998-ln-spin-oil-filter-adapter.html ...to see what they look like. They're pretty handy--have never regretted getting mine (the adapter, as well as the magnetic plug). You should be able to just Google LN Engineering. They've got pretty nice stuff for the Box. I also use (and recommend) the NAPA Gold 1042 Filters.

Correction: The NAPA may be fine, but what I actually use (and meant to say) was I use and recommend the Wix 51042 filter along with the spin on adapter.

Whatever plug you switch to, remember that you need a new crush washer every time you remove it and torque it to spec. The OEM plug is steel. The magnetic are aluminum. The torque specs are significantly different.

				Thank you so:

...Is it worth it to switch? Im afraid that if torqued too hard by mistake by mechanic...
I will have other problems ?

Barely over finger tight... it's 19 ft/lb.

And that hooey about a new crush washer every time?
If I remember to get one.
Forgot last fall and flipped and reused the old one.
Not a single drop leaking.

Porsche has never used steel drain plugs in the water cooled cars, they are aluminum and an alloy softer than the sump cover to limit wear and the chance of stripping out the sump cover.

The aluminum plugs are softer and can be a sob to remove if over torqued. Read stripped allen key insert.

You want the plug to be softer than the much more expensive oil pan it is plugged into. Use the right tool to remove it and torque it and there won't be a problem for 20 years. Crush washers are cheap and likewise designed to deform so you don't have to screw them in too tight.
I used to get a quick lube place to change mine under a watchful eye. They did several local P-cars. I'd bring them the parts. I bought in bulk, saved on shipping and ever rotated two plugs so they got a perfectly clean plug, washer and filter from me every time.
