Whatever the cost the IMS solution is worth it. Seems some people are not talking apples and apples in the thread. If the cost ofnthe solution is 1725 from L&N, which JFP
Knows it is, no one is going the do the job for less than 3k. And you would really want to address other parts as long as its apart, So the OPs
4700 number does not seem that unreasonable at all. Once the solution is installed there is no further IMS maintenance required for as long as you keep the car. If you don't plan on keeping it, then a bearing would suffice, but your resale value is going to be higher with the solution than anything else. It's a no brainer to me. I was hanging around these forums when the only option available was a replacement engine from Porsche after a catastrophic failure. What L&N/Flat6 started and ultimately provided was a gift at these prices.
