Let's Give 986 Member Heiko a Hand for a Worthy Cause
Over the years I have asked Voss Heiko (AKA - Heiko) for several radio security codes. Looking at the thread "becker cdr 220 radio code " I found 24 pages of 458 posting covering the last four years that Heiko has supplied us with radio codes. Class act to say the least.
I have learned that one of Heiko's passions is bicycling. The other is raising funds for Riding to Fight Kids' Cancer though the Great Cycle Challenge. He is actively raising fund for this worthy cause and has set up a page to collect donations.
This is our chance to thank Heiko for his contributions to the 986 Board though our donations to Riding to Fight Kids' Cancer. A true Win Win.

Agree, I haven't asked him to help me with a radio code, but looking at his free radio code help thread, he's certainly spent a lot of time helping folks here!

Thanks, you guys are awesome 
I enjoy helping just about anyone when possible but when the opportunity came around
to do a little fund raising with the Great Cycle Challenge to ride for kids with cancer I couldn't resist. Its a great cause indeed!
And remember the Radio codes are still free

My thought is if everyone who has ever gotten a radio code from Heiko, or may in the future, throws a couple bucks towards the cause Heiko will obtain his goal several times over!

...And to think three or four years ago the US and Canadian dollar were par and at one point the Canadian dollar was actually worth more... things certainly have reverted back... oh well and we still love to shop in the US

I never received a radio code directly, but good work for others deserves recognition. I was happy to contribute. Good luck on the ride, Heiko!

I saw that this thread had slipped to page 2..... so a quick bump up.
Even if you just send a $10.00 donation it will add up for Voss' goal. And, $10.00 Canadian is only something like $7.45 USD.
As stated on Voss' page, "Cancer is the largest killer of kids in Canada, 27 children are diagnosed every week. Please donate now and support my challenge to fight kids' cancer!"
Nineteen years ago one of my children suffered from a brain tumor. During those times we seemed to live at Children's Hospital in Los Angeles. These causes matter!

With peoples kind generosity I broke the $2000 Donation level today and now onto the next level

Just a quick update;
So far with everyone's help I managed to total $2430 in donations
only $70 to get to my next donation goal level.

$2600 to date is totally awesome Chuck and thank you Woody and thank you to anyone else who has or will donate for this great cause. I get messages of support from people and I get the "they'll never find a cure" notes also, but for a lot of people there is hope and optimism... and for these kids with cancer we have to stay optimistic to allow them a chance.

Normally I never ever post or comment on anything that is not car related on this forum. I am no keyboard warrior. But, Heiko deserves our help here. He has given out so many radio codes and has never asked for a thing in return. And, he did not bring this cause to the forums attention, I did.
Don't feel that you have to give $250 like Woody did (CLASS ACT!!!!). If a number of folks give $5 or $10 (they even take PayPal) it will help.
To those that have donated, nice job.
