Agreed, Grand Tour has its ups and downs, but so did Top Gear (is TG even still around??). It's good fun to see the Grand Tour giving the bird to Top Gear in the first episode. The GT segment on the Ford / Ferrari purchase negotiation and ensuing Le Mans battle was really well done. Overall, a good balance of historical info and entertainment.
Hey, here's an idea - Edd should be the first person to make it to the tent on Celebrity Braincrash and then join the discussion on Conversation Street

A lot of people (me included) now spend more time watching Youtube. There is so much good motoring content you can spend hours watching!
Too many of the tv shows just seem to be restoring the same old muscle cars, and then pretending to be stressed by unrealistic time tables! It soon gets old!

I have never watched a complete episode of Wheeler Dealer. Most of the "Reality Show" genre has been a real turn-off for me especially the ones that migrate into personal drama, and away from more informative content. Watching that first video that BruceH linked, lead me down an hour-plus YouTube rabbit hole ending with Richard Hammond's rocket car crash and recovery. ...and now without having seen an episode of Wheeler Dealer, I'm a big fan of Edd.

True, especially since Roku / Apple TV and smart TVs, etc can access YouTube directly. I'm really tired of the juvenile, scripted 'tension / ego strutting' Velocity channel shows.

Edd was the reason I watched the show, certainly not Mike. I am interested to see what Edd comes up with. As for Wheeler Dealers, bye bye.

I thought the show was great, early on, as the cars they purchased were at the price point that most could relate to. Lately the cars have become higher dollar, more exclusive..1916 Caddy as an example.
My take is that the original premise of the show was to show how one could acquire a used 'cool car' by tackling some of the jobs as DYI. The show was also great about showing what jobs might be better left to specialist. The fact they sold the cars and made a few $ was secondary to the acquisition and refurbishment.
It was a great show...

How about a new show with Ed and Aaron Kaufman? I would watch that.

Noooooooo
Ed is my hero. Mike's just a bump in the road until you get to the real show and Ed's work. Bring in Aaron, and you've got a hit. Leave Motor Mouth Rawlings in Dallas. DFW.com says Aaron is leaving the Gas Monkey show.

I loved the show, I always liked seeing the somewhat unconventional ways they'd go about sprucing up cars. Little ways they make trim nicer and small things of the sort.
There was always an active concern for budget and that seems to not be the case in other automotive shows and it makes it more realistic.

I watched the last video, and I have to say: Come on people. Death threats?!?! That is so un-cool. It's a tv program, and there is no reason for this kind of crap. We are all humans and the success or failure of 1 show ultimately won't account for much, so get over it.
I loved this show, and Edd was the linchpin of its success, but he did drop some real eggs from time to time. I give you....the AMC Pacer:

I was not happy about the loss of Edd either. I really got some top tips from watching him...I loved that part of the show. You are all right as it will now become another soap opera scripted reality show. Hoping Edd just does a YouTube show on his own.

Yeah, I agree Kauffman and China that would be a good combo. I think a previous poster instead of 'bye bye' too the show, should have said 'ta ta''.

The problem with Edd and Aaron hosting a show, they wouldn't have anything to work on.
