Pretty sure you can't drive the tesla very far after doing that once

Driving a car that feels & sound like an "Electric Wheelchair". Was that a serious question OP?

I've driven a Model S. Not too bad, but feels unconnected to the street, especially if you compare it to european cars. Acceleration is great. But the rest - i don't know. Driving cars and having fun while doing it is more than acceleration in a straight line.

Just my 2 cents.

Regards, Markus

On a 'green'er' tone; I'd rather walk or ride my traditional Chinese bicycle than sitting on a high power battery pack + hearing the humming sound of a wheelchair. There

Dunno if you guys tried that car but the deceleration trows you in the windshield almost. It is something....

I love my golf cart. Its the most reliable vehicle I own. I would drive it to work if allowed to (I don't want to install turn signals and seat belts).

I absolutely plan to consider a Tesla or some other form of electric vehicle in the future. Doesn't mean I'd sell my current cars, just that I like the S and think I'll like the 3. Not a big fan of the X.

My brother became a Porsche nut because of me and now has three in his current stable. Several months ago on one if his Christophorus issue he saw an article about Porsche mission E. and he sent me a text asking if I knew about it. My response "yes". Electric cars are nice but missing several things I like about cars. The connection when driving them. I went on to say "it's like making love to a woman and all she does is lay there". No connection. My other brother cracked up laughing and the yogic never came up again.

I wasn't there, but I heard from someone that was that there was a Tesla at the NNJR PCA HPDE at Watkins Glen last July. It could only do 3 laps or the 3.4 mile 11 turn track at the Glen and then it went into limp-home slow mode, had to come in and cool down. So there's that in addition to its limited range and relatively long recharge time.

I wouldn't rate the quality of a vehicle on a 2.3 second drive.

I understand that there's quite a process involved in getting the car ready to do a 0 to 60 run especially if you want to do it twice in a row. The 911 turbo will do it back to back to back in a short period of time without a complaint plus leaving it in the dust after the quarter mile.

The single trick is cool but everything else is a bit of a turn off to me.

Not Tesla's, but maybe Bolt's!

I test drove a Chevy Bolt a couple of weeks ago. The car was great and I couldn't find a single thing to complain about. It handled well, had excellent acceleration, good brakes, felt solid, and the interior was quite nice.

Not too sure about eating grass, but with 230 miles of range and a sticker price of $29,900, a lot of people will likely buy this car.

Hmmm, with a base starting price at $68k, I doubt it.

I am scared of eCars (especially on parking ramps)...you just don't hear them coming...SCARY

For German drivers a not SOOO unimportant fact is:
TOP SPEED
Tesla S = 120mph ....REALLY
That excludes you from using the left line lane on the Autobahn

But honestly...Tesla is quite cool

This got to stop

When global major power plants will fully make efficient use of wind and solar energy, only then I'll start looking into the electric powered vehicles. Until then, I am certainly not going to contribute in changing a problem-into-another at the profit of a simple "tech trend" and to potentially have the IC engines slowly being exterminated.

These electric cars are a scam as of now and are as good as the electricity powering them. Meaning additional carbons and methane to your air. Not mentioning about the extracting environmental damages and heavy pollutants needed for processing rare metals e.g. lithium and other metals to mfg magnets, boards, etc. I pass so many others.

What did you fix?! NOTHING. You have just killed the IC engine and making tech giant richer, that's all.

GREEN?! You got to be f n joking me. Can't believe some of you guys are supporting this "GOV sponsored" industry. Wake up

Go GO Coal Mines Go. That's what we have here in China and can't f n breath already. Can't imagine what it would be if the electric car would suddenly become the norm.

You want to do something green (smart)? Sign petitions to get atomic energy less restricted by your lovely agencies and governments. You'll have your cars rolling for 40+ years without re-fueling.

I always found the Tesla to be pretty neat, but in it's own way. It certainly wouldn't replace my Boxster!

Electric cars; feeling like heading back to what it was in the 1970's in all honesty. The Golf Karts!

Don't like radiation and heavy chemical waste from your 'smart' EV Car Tech industries? Sure, me neither. just heat water with a laser then (if you can get your gov's funded Energy Agency to allow you to own only 10grams of thorium, of course!). Fear 25+ years in jail if you dare to try!

Go Go Green Go

ps: not flaming you dghii, just taking this old school 1970's perfect example to prove my point - of the future.
