I'd agree that Pioneer is a pleasant place to deal with both for purchase and service. Among the service writers, I can highly recommend Daniel Lewis. A very nice and accomodating guy, who doesn't make you feel "rushed".

If any of you Southern Californians are ever in the market for a Mercedes, I'd recommend steering clear of Mercedes Benz of San Diego. Purchasing and servicing my car there could be described as "unsatisfactory" in many ways.

....on an unrelated note, I see that 2007 Cayman base models are on the lots now. Can the 07 987 be far behind?

Holy crap, Pioneer currently has 27 Caymans on the lot. I wonder when they're going to start marking them down with the "crazy-stupid get this car off the damn lot - discounts".

My guess would be August/September.

Not long ago I loaned my Boxster to a friend while I was away on vacation - shortly after swapping out my winter tires and rims.

When he returned the Box he also handed me a lug which had just fallen off as he pulled up to my house. I apologized profusely and told him that I'd have a few words with the idiot who swapped out the rims. He told me it wasn't necessary - but come on! Someone could have been killed - or worse - the Boxster could have gotten damaged.

So, true to my word, the next day I had it out with the "idiot". At the end there I was shouting and I know we both said a few things we shouldn't have. It got to the point where I noticed a crowd gathering and people were staring and whispering. I calmed down after that.

Anyway, it just goes to show you: People don't mind if you talk to yourself - but have ONE lousy argument with yourself and EVERYONE thinks you're crazy....
