Two years ago, right after a thunderstorm. Had to be more cautious due to wet surface conditions. great ride, as is Cherohala Skyway which others have mentioned. Another option, much more challenging, is the Diamondback Diamond Back Loop (226 & 226A) | North Carolina Motorcycle Roads and Rides | MotorcycleRoads.com

Had me white-knuckled and obeying the yellow turn speeds.
