You'll find lots of 996 part numbers on any Boxster.
Use a very bright light on perfectly cleaned coils to look for cracks.The cracks allow moisture in which causes rusting. If you catch it early, you can smear epoxy over the cracks to reseal them.
When you reconnect the harness to each coil, slide the rubber boot up the wiring so you can be sure the connector positively latches on to the coil. If you do not get a positive latch, the engine will eventually give you misfire codes.
