I'm struggling to understand why anyone with an older model would feel slighted. Since the 356, Porsche has ALWAYS increased the displacement of their offered engines over time. The Boxster has already done it once in 2000. And there's a price premium for the new car. So you got what you paid for.

If anything, it's a positive sign for the Boxster's continued production.
