The early boxsters used 2 different sized batteries. The Tiptronic model used the larger size with more cranking amps.
 H6 (48) sized battery = smaller
 H7 (94R) sized = larger

Here in the USA the difference is 750 cranking amps to 830 cranking amps. Significant! I just took put an H6 and installed the H7 battery.

The H7 is longer and the hole to bolt it down is built into the base of the tray for the battery, so either size will fit.

I have not see them workshop manual online. I bought a Bently.

You can get a DVD with the manuals from John's Manuals. PDF Repair Manuals | Johns PDF Service/Shop Manuals . They are very very useful.

I'll let others speak about the battery, but for wipers, yes, the Bosch Twin 582S is what you want.
The Twin 582S set has both blades, and they are different. The passenger side has a curve to it that more or less follows the shape of the bottom of the windshield. The driver side is straight and has a sort-of bump thing that sticks up. Not sure why that is there though...

You can probably use any cheap set of blades that fit, but if you want it to look right, the Twin 582S is what you want (aka 996 628 901 08). Shop around - prices vary a LOT - I think I paid $26 for the set but I've seen sellers on ebay selling them for $74 (CRAZY!)

PaulE - hey, thanks for that pelican link for the refills!

For the manuals, I'd recommend getting the 101 Projects book - order it directly from Pelican ($23.95 when I bought it 3 years ago), and the Bentley manual (I found Amazon was cheapest).

 Hope this helps

 Bill

Only problem with the Pelican and Bentley manuals is the same problem as the CD. Well, besides the copyright issue.
The print publishing weakness is that once you make a mistake, you have to sell all the old version before you can justify a new one.

Any of them will give you a general idea and be good enough for many things you'll want to do. But all contain errors.
