Best Thread Ever

This is officially the best thread ever on 986forum.com

Yes there are other naked/half naked girls on other car forums.....but these girls have the exotic factor working in thier favor and therefore make this the best thread ever.

I am looking forward to additional photos of the wonderful beach, ample sunshine, and definitely some more of your assistants with or without the boxster.

I knew if we gave Mach the right incentive, he would stick around us Porsche guys!

I took it off in the spirit of defusing the tempers that were about to flair.

Hope you understand.

:)

I guess that at least for the folks who hang out here, sports cars, the beach and pretty women are important to us??

On a more serious note, today I was washing the car with a power washer. I noticed a spot of what appeared to be dirt on the inside front wheel well, right at the bottom where the undercoating is. I pointed the power washer at it for a couple seconds but it did not remove the mark. So I adjusted the power washer to put a more powerful thin stream of water. To my shock :( it removed a small piece of the paint and undercoating which now looks like a gaping scratch or a permanent piece of dirt on the car.

I am thinking I can go buy a little bottle of touch up paint and fix it. It is not a smooth surface to begin with so I think the little bottle with the tiny brush should do the trick. Of course finding one where I live will be almost impossible....

Two questions: First, would this be the correct course of action to correct this type of mark. And second, if I cannot find Porsche touch-up paint, would another generic red do the job?

I would go Porsche hue only!

These power washers can be tough!

My Porsche dealer does not have any touch up paint. I almost ran over a donkey today though and was thinking I could have used its blood for the color.

Where was Perfectlap on this one? It seems she has an "all in one" paper towel cleanser! Miraculous.

Cartagena, can you ask your assistants to get their arses to Sydney? My Boxster is filthy and needs a clean.

A pepsi to get out of a ticket, I need to remember that the next time I am in Colombia.

I will carry a 6 pack of them with me!!!

You are a brave man driving that around Columbia. I hope someone associated with the Cartel doesn't decide he deserves it more than you. Or a cop for that matter from the bribery stories you have already shared.

...nonetheless, Great pictures!

You have been watching too much TV. People here are very friendly and polite. Car jacking just does not happen in Colombia. I feel more safe here driving it than I would in most American cities. I have lived here for over 4 years now and never once have I witnessed any acts of violence. The insurance company told me that there has never been a Porsche stolen in Colombia, not once, and there is only one insurance company that covers them so they should know.

And it is ColomObia not ColUmbia.

To much tv and listening to the news, we are all guilty of it at one time or another.

My wife is from Colombia and I have gone there 4 times. It is a beautiful country, I have never had any problems there. Bogota is the city I have been to the most, its like any other city, stay out of the bad parts. there are parts Of New Orleans I would step foot in because I would fear for my life. But thats every where.

VTCMart we are not flaming you, I mean before I ever went to Colombia my wife would tell me stories of how she would ride the bus around town, I assumed it was a colorful bus with people on the roof and chickens inside. Then I got there and realized they have "normal" buses there.

Cartagena you mention that you have been there for 4 years? Where are from originally and what brought you to Colombia?

I recommend everyone takes a trip to Colombia, hey Cartagna I think you should set a party up at your place for all of us!!

Provide the Club Colombia and I am there!!!!
